Choose PresetCan if
You want film-inspired color, frames and reference match on a still photograph in the browser, and you can accept no 3D LUT export, no video grade and no Color.io project import.
Adobe Lightroom is a desktop and mobile photo editor with a catalog, RAW tools and its own film-like profiles. PresetCan does not replace that library. It opens a still in the browser, applies a film-inspired look and exports a JPEG or PNG.
| Feature | Lightroom · Adobe photo editor | PresetCan · current web |
|---|---|---|
| Stills in the browser | Desktop and mobile apps, plus Lightroom on the web in Adobe’s current lineup. Confirm what you have licensed. | Open a photograph in the current web editor and export a finished still. |
| Film looks | Film-like profiles and presets inside Lightroom. They are not PresetCan looks. | Film-inspired presets, tone, color and frames for still photographs. |
| Reference color | Lightroom is Adobe’s desktop and mobile photo editor. Confirm current plans on Adobe’s site. | Color → Match can follow a reference photo. A delivered match uses credits; read the current terms. |
| RAW | RAW is a core Lightroom workflow. File support follows Adobe’s current list. | JPEG, PNG, WebP and supported RAW. 40 MB per file. RAW decoding stops at 32 megapixels. |
| 3D LUT export | Lightroom is not a 3D LUT authoring app in the Color.io sense. Confirm export options in Adobe’s docs. | No 3D LUT export and no Color.io preset import. Export a JPEG or PNG instead. |
| Projects | Catalogs, stacks and edit history stay in Lightroom. PresetCan cannot open them. | PresetCan cannot recover or import those projects. Start from originals or exports you already saved. |
| Pricing | Adobe sells Lightroom through its own plans. This page does not quote a price. | Sign in to edit. Free export is a JPEG or PNG up to a 2048 px long edge. Pro and AI credits are separate; check the pricing page before you pay. |

No. Open a JPEG, PNG, WebP or supported RAW in the browser. Lightroom catalogs, presets packages and histories stay in Lightroom.
Lightroom is Adobe’s desktop and mobile photo editor, with its own catalog and RAW tools. It is not the closed Color.io web app, and PresetCan is not Lightroom.
Yes, supported RAW files decode in your browser. The file limit is 40 MB and RAW decoding is limited to 32 megapixels. If a camera format fails, develop it elsewhere and open a JPEG or PNG.
PresetCan is for still photographs. If the work is video grading or moving LUTs into an editor timeline, keep a dedicated video tool. Use PresetCan when the file you want to finish is a photo.
